The National Museum was recently visited by a group of enthusiastic students from the University of Pretoria. The Education Department took them on a guided tour of the Museum. They were able to see many of our unique exhibitions, and they were particularly interested in the Florisbad skull which is an archaic modern human skull, dated to be c. 260 000 years old. A cast of this skull can be viewed in our Dreyer Hall.
Schools are welcome to contact the education staff at 051 447 9609 to arrange a guided tour through the National Museum and experience all our fascinating exhibitions.
