The Education Department of the National Museum was recently visited by the Grade R learners of Martie du Plessis Special School.
They attended a presentation about Animal Senses and viewed our vibrant educational exhibition about animals in our classroom. They were able to touch some of the animals, identify their senses that were different or interesting and learned some interesting facts about how animals use their senses. After the lesson these learners were able to do a self-tour through the Museum and see the many animals in the permanent exhibition areas.
Our staff accommodate learners with special needs during our visual, fun and educational presentations. We even have an elevator to assist learners in wheelchairs. Please call our Education Staff on 051 447 9609 to arrange a visit to the National Museum for some fun learning experiences.
