The Education Department of the National Museum recently had an outreach visit to the foundation phase learners of Grey College at their school. This lesson entailed the exciting topic of a journey through space.
Our Education Officer, Patrys Meyer, presented an age appropriate, curriculum-based lesson about our earth, moon, our Solar System and what lays in space beyond our Solar System. It is extremely valuable to introduce children to space education early, this lesson helps to ignite the spark in young learners to think about space, observe the night and to have a sense of wonder about science and technology! These adventurous boys had many questions about space and eagerly listened to the fun and factual lesson.
