To celebrate International Museum Day 2025 the Education Department of the National Museum visited 2 schools in Thaba Nchu and Bloemfontein respectively.
We presented an informative PowerPoint presentation on the background, the history and exhibitions in the Museum and what role the Museum plays in society.
It was an ideal opportunity to show the school learners and educators the wide variety of what we have to offer and what they can expect during a visit to our Museum. We also exhibited interesting artefacts and show objects from the different departments of our Museum.
We told learners and educators which educational activities we have to offer to make their visit to our Museum an unforgettable experience.
We handed out our educational year brochures, pamphlets of the Museum and its satellites, and Culnas.
We reached a total number of 1623 learners and educators for the day.
