The Education Department of the National Museum celebrated International Biodiversity Day at The Free State Botanical Gardens (SANBI) on 28 May 2025. The theme for this year was Harmony with nature and sustainable development.
Museum objects and stuffed animal were exhibited to the grade 12 learners of Curro School. There were short discussions about the Museum’s role in healthy ecosystems, conservation of our natural heritage and ways that all of us could implement sustainable development in our lives.
We aimed to motivate these learners to make a mind change and help our Earth to have stable ecosystems and habitats where ALL living things can strive and survive!
