During the week of 23-27 May the Education department of the National Museum presented PowerPoint lessons on Multiculturalism in Africa to Grades 5 – 7 learners. We did outreach presentations to mostly previous disadvantage schools in Bloemfontein/Mangaung area.
We presented to 12 groups and reached a total number of 1296 learners and educators.
Together with our PowerPoint presentation we also showed the learners real cultural artefacts and numerous flags from various African countries which made it even more impressive and special. Learners could participate in some interactive activities, such as traditional dances, drum playing, etc.
