Laerskool Burgersdorp chose the National Museum as part of their visit to Bloemfontein on 6 August 2025. Our Education Department presented a curriculum-based lesson about Dinosaurs to their grade 2 learners. After their lesson they had a fabulous time exploring our Museum exhibitions.
During their lesson they learned more about different kinds of dinosaurs, what they ate, where their fossils are mostly found and even got to feel how heavy the real fossils are in comparison to casts. These inquisitive minds were very excited to be able to touch real fossils and were surprised by the variety of fossils in the Museum!
