Call for stalls: Invitation to participate in celebrating Heritage Day with the community at Oliewenhuis Art Museum on Wednesday, 24 September 2025 from 9:00 – 15:00.
Oliewenhuis Art Museum, a satellite of the National Museum in Bloemfontein, will be celebrating Special Days by inviting the public to join us and for a relaxing family day by preparing a delightful picnic, soaking up the sun in the front garden, and to appreciate the diverse art exhibitions on show. A DJ will provide a variety of background music and there will be a few stalls selling food, snacks, refreshments and offering activities for adults and children.
We therefore call on all interested parties to apply if you see your product or service enhancing a relaxed family day:
Please note this is not an extensive market and approval of applications will be limited to what best contributes to the theme and atmosphere of the celebrations.
- A food truck or food stall selling light, affordable snacks and meals
- Cool drinks, bottled water, snacks, sweets, chips, pancakes, cookies, etc.
- Ice cream (soft serve or other varieties)
- A coffee stall offering quality coffee
- Selling of any other relevant services / activities, products, or merchandise
*Preliminary dates for Special Day Celebrations:
- 24 September 2025, Heritage Day
- 16 December 2025, Reconciliation Day
- 21 March 2026, Human Rights Day
- 27 April 2026, Freedom Day
- 16 June 2026, Youth Day
- 9 August 2026 – observed Monday 10 August 2026, Women’s Day
Please note:
- If your application is successful, a fee of a R100 for a period of 12 months will be charged.
- Please note that this is an outdoor daytime event and there are limited shade available.
- Stalls should be completely set up and functional by 9:00 and remain open until 15:00.
- Vendors must provide their own gazebos, tables, chairs and all other equipment.
- Please note that there is limited electricity available on the front lawn but please provide own long lead.
- Vendors selling food must have a valid food license or permit for the kitchen in which the food is prepared, or a certificate to operate at this specific event (please attach the license on your application).
The latest that applications will be accepted is: 00:00 on Monday, 15 September 2025.
