We were very honoured with the presence of Mr Thompson, a council member of the National Museum who also organized the event for us.
The Education Department introduced the Mobile Museum to Rainbow Old Age Home in Heidedal for an orientation on the Museums’ collections, artefacts and other valuable historical items. The Elders felt very much honoured and fortunate for bringing the Museum closer to them for viewing and observing. They also assimilated and compared the materials against what they used to have during their times. Sharing of interesting and informative stories, experiences and skills during the presentation as the past was compared against the present.
